One of my favourite things is a visit to a museum or gallery, living in London means I am rather spoilt for choice on that front but on the flip side I am so busy with the shop, pop ups & other part time work I rarely get time to see everything I want to! Last week on a freak day off I had a chance to visit the fantastic Fashion & Textile Museum just south of the Thames in Bermondsey.
They have recently opened with a retrospective of the fabulous work of Anna Sui, there as so much sumptuousness to lust over! Fantastic prints, embellishments and accessories were piled onto the mannequins. Myself and Photographer Sam (a good friend of mine, who surprise surprise is a photographer ) spent most of the visit commenting on how much we just loved everything!!
With the exciting future plans myself and local Stitch n bitch club organiser Jenni "Citystitchin' " Willson have for hosting craft workshops at the Thunder and Lightning shop (see here for more details of our first workshop) this visit has provided lots of accessory and upcycling inspiration!
Tickets are £9.90 for adults, £7.70 for concessions, £6 for students and kids under 12 are free. The exhibition runs until 1st October 2017
