An Interview with Thunder & Lightning

Earlier in the year the founder of Thunder & Lightning Morgan (yours truly) was interviewed by Change & Effect Ltd. A new local Lewisham based South London start up, created to help support and promote Urban Businesses in the area. You can check out their shiny newly launched website HERE

The interview was held at my recently ended long term pop up at PLACE / Ladywell and you can watch the full video below where I talk about the kind of brands and items I stock and how I came to start the business. You also get the treat of my mad Cornish voice, so do enjoy that as well!

Thanks so much to the guys at Change & Effect for inviting me to get involved #shopsmall #shoplocal

STOP PRESS! / Throw Back Thursday - Sisters are Doing it For Themselves Fashion Show @ PLACE / Ladywell

Here's a cheeky little Throw Back Thursday to when myself & the other Indie Retailers here at PLACE / Ladywell organised and put on a fashion show, showcasing everything we had to offer! The reason I have gotten all nostalgic for March is that a review of the show has finally been published in the quarterly student magazine SMITHS from the wonderful talent of nearby Goldsmiths uni.

Take a look at the full article HERE, check out the pic of me swishing about my purple hair (which is now red) like a right show off.

Also here are some of my fave pics from the evening! I hope we can put another one on soon, although it was massively stressful to organise in the end I had such an amazing time even if the audience had to endure me modelling!

LIVING SOUTH RESIDENT MAGAZINE - JANUARY 2017

I've been lucky enough to be featured in an article about PLACE/Ladywell (where Thunder & Lightning is based) in January 2017 edition of Living South Resident Magazine! WHOOP! In fact i've been quoted twice which is rather flash.

You can take a look at it here pages 20-22 in their online edition written by the lovely Marina Gask. Sorry about how mad my grin is I clearly need to work on my smile for the paps!

For many reasons 2016 has been a real pain in the ass, but finally realising my dream of opening my own business happened in that year so for me it hasn't all been bad, it's been really, REALLY hard work and there's still more hard work to come, but lets get on and all celebrate the last day of a tough year all round and look forward to what I hope is a big, sparkly, shiny, exciting new year called 2017.

I just want to say thanks to all my customers, followers on social media, suppliers, friends and family who supported me without question over the last year and I look forward to all the new ones I will meet next year too!

Stay safe tonight and Happy New Year!

Morgs xxxx
